Google Analytics can track traffic to your mobile website from all web-enabled devices, whether or not the device runs JavaScript. This is made possible by adding a server side code snippet to your mobile website.

To install the code snippet, select "Advanced" from the "Add new profile" setup wizard within Google Analytics, and select the radio button, "A site built for a mobile phone". PHP, Perl, JSP and ASPX sites all supported. Simply copy the code displayed into every page you want tracked and you will have harnessed the awesome power of Google Analytics to track your mobile visits!

But this will slow down your site and log all visitors from the same IP won't it?

Well a small bit of server side code is needed, and a 1x1 pixel tracking image is added to your page, but neither of those *should* have a terrible effect on your page load times.

Also, it should log users' IP addresses correctly, although may get it wrong for proxies - the PHP server side code uses $_SERVER["REMOTE_ADDR"] which won't always get it right, but I have never investigated this...

Have you experienced these two problems you mentioned?

I have installed the modified server side code on my website. leanworker website
and I haven't noticed the problems that Andy mentioned. The download speed is ok and it logs different ip's.
I had to modify the aspx-code because I use vb.net normaly, and the aspx code is only in C#. Besides that the code is "in-page" (in a script tag) and my site is based on code-behind.
The ga.aspx page I didn't change. No need to.

I have generated php mobile google analytics code from advance functions for GoMobi Setup Assistant. after Input , it give error message you did not enter valid analytical ID?

Please help me which id they talking about? I also tried input mobile code account start with MO... NOT UA which is desktop version.

How can i get it to work with analytical id where to look for anylytical ID in google dashboard of analytical account?
